Fennel Tea
Fennel tea is made from the fennel herb from southwestern Asia and Mediterranean region. It as an aromatic and perennial herb mainly used as a food spice and medicine. Traditionally, people used this herb to stop stomach bloating and other stomach related issues such as excess gas. Other people used it to treat respiratory problems such as bronchitis and asthma. Some studies have shown that this herb is good for chemotherapy patients.
Nowadays this herb is used as an anti-cramping and antispasmodic treatment. It is also a good appetizer for those people who do not feel like eating because of illness. For those who just love taking tea, this is one of the best choices. It has a wonderful taste and its aroma is extraordinary. To prepare the tea, mix boiling water and 1-2 teaspoon of the herb’s fresh and crushed seeds. The water should be ¾ of the cup. The water should stay on low fire for about 5 minutes. It should not boil. Drink one cup about three times daily. This should be done in between meals. If you do this for three or even six weeks maximum, you will notice a change in your digestive system.
This tea is not only healthy but it is also therapeutic. It contains some ingredients which help the body relax. It also flushes out the toxins from the body. The reason why fennel tea is used for respiratory treatments is that it dissolves mucus. Asthma, bronchitis, whooping cough and all those other respiratory diseases can be treated with this herb. Sore throat can also be fought using this herb. Adults are not the only people allowed to take fennel tea. Children suffering from digestive and respiratory diseases can be given the tea mixed with milk.

This medical plant should not be taken in large quantities. It may be medicinal but too much of it in the system is not recommended. You can also use it as a spice. There are no known side effect of taking fennel tea but if you react to it in any way, then stop taking it.
